GARBAGE COLLECTION

• New collection system is scheduled to commence in late October. Only a weekly collection of larger 240 litres bin will be provided. Please ensure the opening side of your bin faces the roadside to allow easier collection by the new truck. 

2010 - 2015 SHIRE CORPORATE PLAN

• The promotion of the Corporate Plan process commences this month as a lead up to the community consultations and adoption of the 5 year plan in June 2010.

TOURISM

• Tourism Steering Committee is holding a stand at the Queensland Country Expo, Brisbane, 30 October to 1 November. Local businesses are encouraged to provide their brochures for distribution, low fee applies, contact Pam Wasaga.
