Australian Sports Foundation - Active Kids Grant

Grassroots sports clubs across Australia can now apply for the next round of the Active Kids Grant, with sporting equipment and uniforms available to help young Australians get involved, stay active and feel part of their local sporting community.

Delivered by the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) in partnership with The Dickinson Foundation, the Active Kids Grant supports volunteer-run, community sporting organisations with the practical gear they need to reduce cost barriers and grow junior participation.

Powered by philanthropy

The Active Kids Grant is made possible through the ongoing generosity of The Dickinson Foundation, whose support has enabled the program to deliver more than $5 million in uniforms and equipment since 2019, reaching 931 community clubs nationwide and supporting more than 153,000 young people stay in sport.

David Dickinson, Founder and Director of The Dickinson Foundation said the foundation is committed to strengthening community sport and increasing participation.

“We are proud to support grassroots clubs through the Active Kids Grant, particularly those working to remove barriers to participation,” David said.

“By investing in equipment and uniforms, our program helps clubs to create inclusive, community-led sporting opportunities that support health, connection and long-term
engagement in sport.”

Since launching in 2019, the Active Kids Grant has supported clubs across 47 sports, funding initiatives that encourage participation, inclusion and community connection in metropolitan, regional and remote areas.
