Each year, the Torres Shire welcomes thousands of cruise passengers to our beautiful region. These visits provide a valuable opportunity for our community to showcase local culture, creativity, and enterprise.

As part of each arrival, Council coordinates a free community market space on Thursday Island. We are encouraging community members, small businesses, local stallholders, artists, and performers to take part in welcoming our visitors.
