Public Notice - Torres Shire to Transition to Stage 3 Roadmap to easing access

The Queensland Premier has announced the Stage 3 Roadmap to Easing Restrictions for Queenslanders to take effect from noon on Friday, 3 July 2020.

What does this mean for Torres Shire? Commencing from noon, Friday 3 July weddings and funerals will be able to have 100 people, as will home gatherings with friends and family. Sport, recreation and fitness are being eased significantly, and more businesses and food courts can open too. Torres Shire to Transition to Stage 3 Roadmap on 10 July 2020 - Whilst Cook Shire Council and most other Queensland Local Government Shires have transitioned to be in line with the rest of Queensland from Friday, 3 July, Torres Shire has decided to transition from Stage 2 of the Roadmap to easing access restrictions for Queensland’s remote communities to Stage 3 on Friday, 10 July. https://www.datsip.qld.gov.au/resources/datsima/covid/remote-communities-roadmap.pdf

What does this mean for Torres Shire?
